Le Morte D'Arthur

Last winter we had the most extraordinary privilege of experiencing first-hand the beautiful illustrations of Anna-Marie Ferguson's version of the legendary Le Morte d'Arthur. These hauntingly compelling watercolours and ink drawings have left a lasting impression on all who were fortunate enough to stand before them. The power and delicate mastery of the artist in evoking the era of history and myth is evident in every image.

I was able to bring my art college students to the exhibit in Red Deer several times so that they could be shown an artist in command of her subject; so they could experience the dedication an artist brings to fulfilling a dream, and for them to be overwhelmed by the resulting beautiful artwork.

We are so very fortunate to have been, through the sheer luck of location, on of the first audiences to view Anna-Marie's work. We most certainly will not be the last.
